Because of the recent fix in 2.4 you can't escape from Kaliris using the old methods, but I found a new one which seems to reduce the number of hits they can land while you fly away. They still can dismount you, but less hits mean a higher chance of getting away. This also seems to work on non-epic mounts.
Here's how it works:
1. Face downwards in an angle of about 45° degrees (so that you still move forward)
2. Fly using your normal forward-button
3. Strafe to one side with Q or E (still holding forward)
4. Switch to Flying upwards (with space) and strafe to the other side.
5. Switch back to downward and the first side
6. rinse repeat till your ooc
You should do the switches in an interval of about 1 or 2 seconds, you will find out.

and so on
you can of course put the strafe keys the other way round, won't make a differnce
