... what things would you add?

I can't play right now because my game card finally ran out, but I was surfing the Wowwiki pages tonight and got to thinking. What would you add if you could add more events and changes to WoW?

A lot of my ideas are updates on stuff already in the old game. Many many threads were left hanging in Azeroth, and I came across a few tonight that I would love to tie together.

1. The Syndicate:
A worthless faction, although non-rogues may be surprised that, yes, you CAN gain reputation with Ravenholdt's arch-rivals. The Syndicate is made up of former nobles from Alterac who have turned traitor to the Alliance and the Horde alike. They act out of Alterac and Arathi, and are also present in Hillsbrad. What ideas could you add to this?
-Make the Syndicate a faction like the Bloodsails. Make you get an outfit or something at neutral, and a neat hat at friendly. Frankly, I would add a cooler item than that; a nice trinket that would summon some Syndicate thugs to pilfer, kidney shot, and garrote an enemy would be awesome. Make the grind ridiculous (although less than it is right now), like the Bloodsails, but not impossible.
-Add a further questline for the Wake of Argus. They get a tiiiiny mention in the scheme of things. You never really figure who they are, why they're there, and what they're up to.
-Going along with that last idea, set up an outpost in Alterac; a Ravenholdt operation against the Syndicate. A new quest hub outside Stranhbrad, or outside Alterac City. The quests would involve retaking the town; and on that note, revamp the area to give it more detail. Strahnbrad is supposed to be the Syndicate base of operations; instead it is just a run-down area with tons of stealthed guys.
-Revamp the city of Alterac (currently filled with elite ogres) to make the entire area an instance, sorta like SFK. Have it be split: ogres in the city above, and their caves lead to a hidden Burning Blade/Wake of Argus cult staffed by the Syndicate underneath Stranbrad. Even better, make them constantly attacking each other. You could enter from either direction; through basements in Strahnbrad, or the gates of Alterac. Main bosses would include the Crushridge king (currently part of a quest for Horde), Lord Aliden Perenolde (you kill his son Aiden outside, but the head guy was captured and is now MIA; say he got free with demonic help), and the Wake of Argus head-honcho.

That's my idea for Alterac.

2. Bael Modan:
This is the dwarven settlement in the southern Barrens. Now, forget for the moment that Barrens is the Horde teen area and obviously Horde-friendly. I would love to see this place fleshed out as an Alliance hub. According to Wowwiki information, this is THE premier location for dwarves and gnomes in Kalimdor, and a site of Titan ruins. Another instance in the Barrens might be overdoing it, but there is definite potential. I think I might just be sick and tired of the Alliance teen-level zones, but an Alliance quest hub in the Barrens would be awesome. Make a teleporter to there from Tinker Town in Ironforge, so it is easy to get to. Quests are pretty easy; a lot of them would overlap with Horde quests; cull the Quillboars, fight against the Silithid, get supplies via local wildlife, even take down some of the Horde NPCs threatening the area. Since there are planes at the area, even add in an automated bombing quest.

3. New faction: Explorer's League
Okay, how fun would this be? We all know there are dig-sites all over Azeroth, and there are always dwarves from the Explorer's League there. I mean, off the top of my head I can think of sites in Darkshore, the Barrens, Mulgore, Loch Modan, Silithus, and Dun Modr. Well, how about a continuous line of quests that start out of Ironforge and is not all one level range?
-You first start getting EL quests when you get to IF and go to the Hall of Explorers (or whatever it is called). A quest-giver will send you to Dun Modr dig sites, and you complete quests there (just like we already do). But you get EL rep. Miners in the area can get artifacts out of nodes; herbalists can find them entwined in local plants. For all I care, skinners could find essences of magic in the skins they cut. All of these are for repeatable quests.
-The reputation rewards would be like BG rewards; they have various ones for each level range (18, 28, 38, etc). So if you have Exalted at level 18, you can get maybe two greens and a blue. And the stats will get better when you buy the next level range up, of course. At high levels, patterns will be available; make them ultimate gathering enchants (+20 skill to herb/skin/mine), special jewelcrafting items for seeing through stealth or something, etc etc.
-If an Uldum instance ever comes out, make the EL faction work into it as well. Have certain events inside happen only if you have the reputation.
-Unlike many reps, EL would be easy to gain, because you'll do the quests anyway as you level a character. And a high-level character can just do the repeatables. What I would love to see, is when you're the right level for a new set of quests in a new zone, the main archeologist sends you a letter informing you of "an exciting new dig in Azshara!" or something, reminding you to get the quest.

4. Theramore
As this is going to be redone in 2.3, I will keep this brief. I want to see Theramore as a faction. It is Alliance, yes. But it's very different; and best of all, it should be good for both factions. Jaina and Thrall have a peace between the two; make Theramore an area for both factions.

5. Retaking Gnomeregan/Echo Islands
It has been too long! I mean, I know radiation lasts for years, but this is getting ridiculous. We have two more capitals we could have in the game if the parasitic factions would get off their butts, revamp the zone, and actually allow the players to make a lasting impact.

6.Modern Hyjal
It's still there, past Winterspring. I know it would be an awesome zone from explorations I did years ago, pre-BC. There are some elven ruins. There are plenty of places for demon-fights. There's a lair for Illidan's prison or whatever else one would add. The map would have to be redone; it was completely linear before, which would make it quite boring. Dryads and furbolgs could be in the area; personally I want to see more dryads, and furbolgs are always fun.

7. Azshara
Don't even get me started. Besides putting the Explorer's League in here, this place is soooo ready for an overhaul. They have the area for a new BG already marked off for goodness' sake! Timbermaw Hold is still there, right? Open that up! Ah, this needs a good rethinking.

Ok, my ideas started to slow down as it got further on and I got more and more tired. Anyone else have something they'd like to see? Preferably from stuff inside the game already, not "Oh, I want Gilneas (so do I!)" or "The Emerald Dream/Maelstrom/South Seas!"
