best 2v2 arena classes

I just want to know, what classes are considered to be the best in 2v2 arena. Furthermore, if i was to team with a priest (either holy or shadow) what 2v2 arena class would supplement this priest the best? what about if I was teamed with a lock?
I know for example mages aren't considered to be very good in 2v2 arena, rather they excel in 5v5. This is what I want to know, what classes excel in 2v2 , especially if i was teamed with a priest or lock.

ok im gonna make this easier for everyone. my friend is a lv 70 shadow priest. I want to try out almost any class excluding warlocks, hunters, warriors and paladins. Now, I don't want to be a warlock because my other friend is already leveling a warlock. i also don't like the idea of hunters or pallies or warriors. so really, of the rest of the classes (mages, rogues, priests, shamans, druids) which would work best with my shadow priest friend and/or warlock friend?

My opinion

Double dps teams have it tougher. DPS + healer combos seem to be most popular. Warriors, warlocks are strong for sure in 2v2, very strong. A good healer with either of these classes is tough to beat. Some rogues do very well in 2v2 with a healer but I think it takes alot of skill for a rogue to stay near the top of 2v2. Generally warlock + healer or warrior + healer will probably be the most common top teams you'll see in S3, maybe rogue + healer teams coming in 3rd?


edit: If you're looking which class to roll to compliment your shadow priest friend, I don't know. You said you dont want warlock which is a fairly nice companion. I'm not sure what types of setups shadow priests like to currently run. Try the priest forums maybe?
