So ive pretty much always played the dps warrior in most every game I have played. Something about having a BFA (big axe), and wearing full plate armor seems to get my jollies off. However, It seems warhammer is trying to do away with this. Although I can comprehend the idea of a pvp "tank" it seems a little farfetched to have this class in the game with no ability to dps.

The only class/race that attempts to have what i want, is the dwarf hammerer. Personally, i hate stunties. From the pvp videos i have seen, the chaos chosen, dwarf ironbreaker, it just seems these classes are not useful at all. If a game is to be centered around pvp, why would you pick a class who just seems to have minimal utility and no dps? I have heard that they are going to be incorporating collision mechanics into the game (is this true?). If this is the case then i can forsee tanks blocking enterances and exits. Does anyone know about this?

so where is the plate armorered huge axe weilding class that can dps? (and why isnt it in empire)

For one, the class you desrcibed is inheritly imbalanced.

The tanks are very effective for PvP, however it's all balanced the tanks do not do as much damage as the lightly armored melee DPS classes such as the Witch Hunter and Hammerer, but they wear more ammor and thus are more survivable

My guess is that you havn't even looked at the game...

I think with the tactics kitted out the way you want, you will be able to do significant DPS, with some detriment to your tanking abilities. However, if your prefer to be the most deadly melee dps player in the group, I would try witch hunter.
