What's up with this trend of asking what the 'best race' is? Why are so many people frightened about missing out on any advantage, however miniscule?

I tip my hat to anyone who decides to have a bit more of a challenge when they roll a character.

Trolls only. Arcane Torrent is useful, if not very good (owns face for Rogues) and Diplomacy is one of the best racials in the game. Not to mention Perception, which is quite useful in arenas.
