I'll be honest. I never use molten armor in PvP. Ever. I don't think I would even if I had the stun talent.

In almost every single possible situation, frost armor is a better PvP armor. It always will be. If you are getting hit in melee (or range for that matter), not getting crit won't matter as strongly as being able to get away, because unless you get away quickly you are dead in seconds whether it crits or not.

In raiding and PvE, really, I am more likely to use mage armor for the mana regeneration because molten armor is just too weak to consider using over it.

What we need now is a good offensive armor. 3% is awfully small. I suggest changing the -5% critical to adding another +3% critical, and making it a more offensive armor, and a useful one with +6% critical. This would make a huge difference for this armor's value. While the 75 damage shield is not that great either, it at least has some use when AoEing, so I won't ask for that changed (though it wouldn't hurt if we had something better).

I thought I was posting this in the suggestion forum, oh well.

I'll probably get trolled here but it doesn't matter.

As for this response though, do you use molten armor in PvE, or raiding? Mages really do need a real offensive armor.

3% crit from a spell that costs low mana, lasts 30 minutes, and doesn't take any talents what-so-ever.

It also deals damage.

Not sure what you are complaining about here.

Be glad you got something useful in TBC. We got nothing we can use on a regular basis other than another damn totem and water shield, which doesn't even compare to how useful Molten Armor is (at least Molten Armor has a use when you're not getting hit)
