View Full Version : Why would anyone NOT play a druid?

I just don't understand why anyone wouldn't play one.

They can do anything and everything. Sure, not at the same time, but with a quick respec, which is a hell of a lot better than spending three months rerolling, every time.

Druids can go feral, and tank just as well as Warriors. There are about three fights where a warrior is better to break fear, but you can just get a dwarf priest or shammy, and you're good to go with a druid. They have more health and armor than Warriors, and as much dodge as a warrior's combined dodge and parry. The armor more than makes up for Blocks. And they can do way more damage. That makes them hold threat better and easier, a good bear has better threat than a prot Warrior.

Best of all, a feral druid doesn't even need to respec to be a rogue. Just switch gear and change forms, and you're putting out even more damage than a rogue. You can stealth around, sneak past garbage mobs you don't want to fight, and own face with your rogue-level damage.

Resto druids are the best healers. They just are. Sure, a Paladin has a bit more mana efficiency in raids that involve long fights. But when you have 2 or 3 druids keeping up hots, your tanks won't even notice any damage. Especially if they're bears. Plus, they have Innvervate. A druid with basically a mana bar and a half can heal for longer than a pally can. And lets not even get started on PvP. A resto druid can easily kite two or three players around without any serious fear of dying, and can keep it up until they run out of mana. If you have any DPS at all with the druid, they won't run out of mana, and the druid can easily keep them up while running. Kiting in PvP on a resto druid is extremely easy, and unless you really suck, you can do it too.

Balance druids, meh, I guess they're a little lacking. They can do as much damage as a mage, with a bit less mana efficiency. I don't really know how their damage compares, since I don't have a high level mage, but I know the good moonkins I've grouped with can at least keep up with mages in damage. Plus, the moonkin brings along Innervate and Brez. Who WOULDN'T want that over just a mage?

Druids are by far the best class. They can do everything, with ease and with just a respec. I really don't get why everyone doesn't make one, mine is already on the way. If more people made druids, like they should, every class would be obsolete, except for maybe one paladin to rez and one mage to give your groups water.
