View Full Version : Leveling is boring, really REALLY boring
How would you fix it?
I personally would just increase all XP gained, like, twice as much if not more than what we currently get.
My highest alt is level 46, it's a mage, to level I pyroblast, fireball, frost nova, fireball dead, OVER AND OVER AND OVER. I don't really play him anymore.
My shaman is 36...totems, autoattack, lightning shield, maybe a shock here and there.../bored.
Once you level a character to 70 leveling becomes nothing more than a grind (the first time around it wasn't so bad).
Quests are all the same: "Go kill 10 of theses" "Go find this thing by killing 10 of these" "Go kill things till you get to a thing and kill it to get this thing". /sigh
At least Blizz got creative with some of the quests in outland (not including Nagrand...h8 nesingwary).
Basically: I'd like 70 alts, but am not willing to put the same time in as I did with my first 70. I understand the game this time around, know what to expect, and the only real learning involved is knowing what spells do what, that takes all of 30 seconds to understand.
The point is, after you get to 70, every other character (at least for me) seems to level at a snail's pace and gets boring really fast =|.
I understand part of leveling is learning how your character interacts with others as well...but increasing the overall XP gained from everything wouldn't really limit that at all.
Does anyone agree? To those who disagree...shoo.

Yes, it does take quite some time to level a toon. . that is why I have like 5 alts. . when I get bored on my main (WHICH I DO) I switch over to an alt. . usually I only play my main while he is rested. . . that way I get the double xp. . well that is what they call it. . .
Now that they are going to bring the lvl cap to 80 . . . I can't imagine how long it will take to get there for a casual gamer like myself. . .
I agree if they would just up the xp per kill or increased xp from quests it would be a WONDERFUL improvement to the game. I know that the whole purpose of the game is to keep you online as long as possible. . but there is a point where it is just like . . . . WTH. . . JUST LVL ALREADY. . . waiting for that ding once you hit above lvl 35 in my opinion. . is like waiting for a child to be born. . . FROM CONCEPTION!!!!! TAKES TOO LONG!!!!

Can someone explain what "glider" is, or link to a post with it explained?

Glider is a program that automates your gameplay. Most people call it a "bot".
You start the program, login to your account, insert paths who tell your character where to walk and then it starts killing mobs for you. You don't even have to be near your computer.
You can find it on www.mmoglider.com
