Is anybody else frustrated with any and all customer service reps? You know what I am talking about. . . when they call you or you call them and you have to ask them to repeat things a HUNDRED different times because you can't understand them. . . .

I heard a great joke one time. . . this is how you get a job as a CSR (Customer Service Rep)

This is a story about Babu (Bah-Boo). Babu is pakistany and is trying to get a job working for Americans. Babu calls up a company and asks them if he can be part of their Customer Support. They tell him that in order to be able to be a customer service representative, you have to speak fluent English.

"Babu, in order to find out if you speak English fluent enough, we have a test. I will give you three words and you have to use them in a sentence."

"Yes, Yes, o k"

"Ok Babu, your three words are: Green, Pink, and Yellow"
Babu thought for a moment . . .

"Babu, are you still there?"

"Yes, Yes, o k o k heree is mi sintance:
I wak indo a rum and de fone go GREEN GREEN GREEN! I PINK it up
and say YELLOW!!!"

"Very good Babu, you are now a Customer Service Representative."

Moral of the story. . . THEY ARE NOT FLUENT IN ENGLISH. HIRE SOMEONE WHO IS SO WHEN KNOW WHAT WE ARE BEING ASKED!!!!!

ROFL.. I can't help laughing.

But yes, most of the CSRs sucks. Sadly it's very common across Asia. And the worst one I dealt with was some Japanese. Even they spoke word by word at a very slow speed, I still couldn't catch them. Just like my friend said, only people who know Japanese could understand them.
