View Full Version : Account Saftey
When is Blizzard, a company that rakes in a grip of money every month, going to make our accounts safe? No password was shared, no information given, yet somehow my girlfriend's account was hacked and stripped of everything. What is GM's response? Still haven't replied. Big surprise there. When is Blizzard going to protect its clients? When are GM's not going to be useless?

I have never had this happen to me, but all I know is that if you can get ahold of a GM, they will look into your account and give you everything back that has been taken from you . . some people use this as an exploit to 'dupe' some items. . . or get extra cash. . . I don't suggest using it for that method. . . but in a case like this, just tell them:
"Hey wtf, I got hacked into and all my crap is gone!!! What can you do about this so that I can still play WoW. I don't want to start from the beginning again, and if I have to you will lose yourself a customer"
You might not have to go quite to that extent, but if it gets down to it I wouldn't hold back.
I agree that they need to do something different to help people out with their accounts security. What can they do? To that I have no answer. . . I can't think of anything they can do to make your account safer . . .they can't make it so that you have to register your IP address and that will be the only one that you play from. . . what if you go to a friends house and want to play. . oh dang I didn't register this IP address, I can't play.
If someone can think of something that Blizzard can do to make our accounts more safe, please suggest it to blizzard. . . and post here so we can talk about it.
