From day 1 of WoW, who stays in PVE server and never enters a PVP one? Sure PVP servers have more players than a PVE one, but I just don't like being backstabbed by a rouge while I am fishing:mad:

I do...I see no reason to PVP. Its a waste of time and you get no XP for it. I went in to the battlegrounds a few times and all it was was super high people ganking on super low people. I really dont understand why people waste their time doing it.

Glad someone agreed with me. Hey pvp guys. why do you stay in PVP server? Is ganking that so interesting?

I agree with the two above. . . my friends and I are tired of getting ganked, especially when you are lvl 28 in Menethel Harbor and a lvl 70 gankes you. What is the fun in being lvl 70 and killing lvls 30, 20, even 50 lvl's below you. Yea, that really shows your skill. . you can sneak up on a lvl 20. . .congratz to you. Anyway long story short. . we, all my friends and I, are moving from Kel'Thuzad (pvp) to Moonrunner (PvE) just because you can't do anything now days w/o getting ganked.

you guys are wimps... what is a war without a war? I thought the game had 2 factions, Alliance VS Horde, not Horde vs critters... or Alliance vs fish... you guys are lame to think that PVE is actually playing.

I played on a PvE server for about a week and then realized I was missing out on more than half the game. There's something that gets the blood flowing when you see that red name go running across your screen.

I agree. There is nothing funner than relaxing and chasing people around in stv. PvP is more than half the game, and you are missing out on lots of it. Imagine getting to level 70 just to figure out that there isn't really anything more to do other than get the best armor. If you get to level 70 on a pvp server you can run around killing anything you see (almost).

What fun is it to kill a lvl 10-15 as a lvl 70? It takes no skill to do that. . . that is what ruins the game for the low lvl ppl. There is nothing more frustrating  that trying to quest/grind to lvl up at the mid 20-30's and along comes a lvl 60-70 Horde/Alliance and gankes you  , and then camps your body. Making it so that you can't do shit. . . All you are trying to do is get up in the levels so you can actually experience the end game content. . but you are screwed as soon as you get a dick head who decides it is fun to kill a person 30-40 levels lower than he is. . . I don't see the point in that  . . . This is what makes it so that the game is not as much fun. More people get pissed off and LEAVE the game because of dick heads who will sit and gank low lvl people. I don't know how many times my body has been camped in Westfall or the Wetlands  . . . I have almost quit numerous times. . . I guess I just don't see the point in being lvl 70 and instead of working on getting kick ass gear. . you focus on killing level 20 ppl  . . . I don't see the fun in that. . .

I enjoy PvP'ing sometimes. But i am more of the RP style myself. but i di agree, it's annoying when you go fishing or your busy mining and some high lvl rouge shows up with a backstab.

I have stayed in a PvE server all of my life.
I dispise PvP. Some people probally find embarrassing eachother fun, but I don't.
I can easily play HL2DM or any Deathmatch game if I want PvP.

I started out on a PvE server but soon moved to a PvP server as I found PvE quite boring. It's exciting to have to walk around Azeroth carefully in some areas, not knowing whether a high-level Alliance will come around a corner. It's sometimes heart-rushing to walk by or try to dodge a group of Alliance in contested territory, not knowing whether or not you'll have to fight.

It's exciting and it's more realistic in my opinion. If you're in contested territory, why shouldn't there be conflict? Should warring factions be able to kill one another easily when not inside the protected confines of one's own territory? I think so.

It's not always the huge gank-fest that everyone plays it out to be. Sure, there's times when I'm questing and I'll get killed by a higher level player. And generally when I come back to rez, they're gone. In a war in real-life, are the superior and more experienced soldiers not allowed to kill the enemy, even if they're less experienced and not as powerful? C'mon now.

I've been playing on a PvP server for years now, and I've re-rolled a number of times. I've had to deal with being in low level areas with higher level Alliance around, and the occasional killing. It's not that bad. There's some times when a player feels like they need to gank and camp, but generally asking nicely in the Local Defense channel will get someone to come help. It's fun!

PvP is not for everyone, but neither is PvE. If you're looking to pussyfoot around and not worry about anything other than the next peacebloom that you need to harvest, then stay off PvP. I'm tired of the idiots that play on a PvP server and complain every time they get killed. It happens to everyone, but not as often as you think.

Besides, it's not like they can camp you very well if you spirit rez and go somewhere else. There's plenty of quests to do and places to grind. You don't have to stay in the same area.

I get bored way too easily on PvE. It's annoying to be able to walk up to a player 40 some-odd levels above me, in contested territory, and not feel danger.

Oh, and have you ever been a part of a raid? I've been in some great 40+ player raid groups in Tarren Mill, fighting an equally large force of Alliance trying to protect Southshore. It's amazing. Real-world PvP is way more fun than Battlegrounds. You should've seen how many times we'd push our way into Southshore only to have the Alliance regroup and force us back to Tarren Mill. It's spontaneous, crazy, exciting. That stuff just doesn't happen on PvE, from my experience.

that kind of 40+ raids between Horde and Alliance DO happen on PVE servers, although the frequency is much rare than PVP servers.

I had played on both PVE and PVP servers, I would say PVP is much more fun.

I understand that completly, but it's just how I feel. I personally am 1 of those "carebares" that just hates PvP completly.
It's the same with duels. I rather not being called a n00b by a Level 70 going against 1 of my low level chars.

On my Horde chars, when the X-Roads goes under attack, do I go to help? Hell no. I just watch the fun.
In ways, PvP is fun, just as long as I'm not a part of the action, but just as a spectator.
I cannot handle this fast-pased PvP action. Or even battling against a human player. I use my energy to pwn mobs and gain XP.
At least they don't /laugh /spit on me when they kill me.

It's understandable that you're nota ble to keep up with the faster-paced (I'd hesitate to actually call it 'fast') environment of PvP, but you're missing out on so much.

If you're happy with the way you play, that's what matters most. You're the one paying, so as long as you're happy with how you're doing it then the rest is gravy.

That's right. All that matters is if your having fun with what you do.

I was ganked all the time as a lowb when I first started playing. From that point on I vowed to kill any allie I saw... unless I was feeling gracious in the moment. I feel like it's payback for all the times I was ganked.

But you are right, there is something about seeing the red go across the screen. Plus, it's fun to kill higher levels. For example, my 62 lock pwned a 66 mage yesterday 5 times. Then he stopped trying and ran away on his mount. Fun times.

For the horde!
