Along with Blizzard's introduction of better reputation points gaining for Timbermaw Hold, they included these two items which starts a quest for turning in these two items to Kernda, a furbolg NPC inside the Timbermaw Hold.
While killing furbolgs either in Felwood, or in Winterspring, there is a chance that you can get Deadwood Ritual Totem, or Winterfall Ritual Totem, depending on which furbolg mobs you are killing. These items start a quest which requires you to deliver these totems to Kernda inside Timbermaw Hold. Since the quest requires you to talk to a Timbermaw Hold NPC, you will need to have Neutral or better reputation with Timbermaw Hold for you to be able to travel in Timbermaw Hold and talk to Kernda.
These can only be completed once, so when you already have delivered both totems, you cannot get any more from killing furbolg mobs. These totem turn-in quests give you 350 reputation per totem delivered, so that would be 700 easy reputation gained for Timbermaw Hold.
