I don't remember in the TOS with blizzard that it was improper to buy gold. Nor did I read where you couldnt' let someone else play your char.
Now I can see an issue with bots for farming etc, but I dont' feel they can get away with banning accounts for getting gold and having someone else play your char for you for a few hours.
