Sometimes in a confined space with a few mobs inside, its possible to get an individual NPC stuck in-between something when its trying to return to its stationary position on Evade if you've ran away from it. I've done it a couple of times, usually easier on a flight of stairs. Once the mob becomes Evaded and stuck, it will no longer retaliate to you attacking it, use this to your advantage. You won't be able to kill the NPC but constantly hitting it will will still train your weapons.
