Apparently Demonic Leap works in a similar fashion like Blink. (Yes, Demonic Leap works like Heroic Leap. However, they're both based off of the Blinking system.) So in the current build of the WotLK Beta, you can avoid fall damage by using it in midair.
Additionally, there's a bug in which if you're mounted while pressing Metamorphosis, your pet will remain out.
