Death Knight Talent Question

Hello Mmohaven, i know this is a random question but i thought id ask as i didnt know how it would work

From level 10 onwards you get a talent point per level you gain

How would this work if you had a dk as you start off at level 50 so when you create a dk would you have 40 talent points waiting for you or do they reset to 0 - any one know ?

You start with none but You have a series of quests to do in the start area (chapel) to open your talent points and a set of blue items.
